Age is an Illusion

May 26, 2011 by Margaret Duarte

“Age is an illusion…limitation is a mistake…unhappiness is ignorance.”                                                                                                              ~Science of Mind

I start each day with a cup of coffee and an inspirational reading to set me off in the right direction.

Today’s quote from Sciene of Mind is a reminder for us to honor our age no matter how old we are.  Love, peace, joy, and creativity have no age boundaries

If you happen to be a Baby Boomer like me, you might be interested in reading The Big Shift, Navigating the New Stage beyond Midlife, by Marc Freeman.

Have a great day.

Well, I can agree in theory, but my aching muscles and falling arches and internal disorders beg to differ. :o)
I was born on the leading edge of the post-war baby boom, was thoroughly indoctrinated in the Protestant Work Ethic, and therefore became an unrepentant workaholic with little or no regard for the toll toil took on my health.
Unfortunate, and all my own fault, had I but stopped long enough to think about it.
Perhaps Marc Freeman's book may contain some helpful hints for me.

Hi Kay. Okay, age-related aches and pains are something we can't ignore, but love, peace, joy, and creativity have no age boundaries. I think you'd like what Marc Freedman has go say about us oldies but goodies. We're not about to settle for "a life course designed for a bygone era." Instead of heading into the "leftover years," we are "ascending the ladder of contribution and fulfillment." Look at you with your adventurous travel. And a blog! You are a great example of transitioning to and making the most of this new stage of life.

I love life and I love my age, because I never think about it. Who cares if you can love life. It is all wonderful, no matter what!
