More on Blog Headers

February 2, 2011 by Margaret Duarte

A while back I wrote two posts about my experiences with creating a blog header, one called Creating a Custom Header for your Blogger Blog and the other, New Blog Header.

Now, just for the fun of it, I’ll pass on three great sites for:

Creating Custom blog headers.

  1. How to Make A Blog Header by Holly over at A Foothill Home Companion.  Her instructions are easy to follow and to the point.  Print her post out and go for it!
  2. How to Create a Blog Header: that looks good by Dana Fox.  You’ll need Photoshop, Gimp (free Photoshop), or Pixir to do this, but it may be worth the effort.
  3. How to quickly design a stunning blod header.  There, you’ll get the added bonus of learning how to create a blog button.

Enjoy!

As always great info. I'm having a sight built, but there will be times I need to up date and do stuff myself. This is always helpful…

Hi Cathy. Creating your own header is quite an achievement, and actually a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. Hope this helps.

Hi Lui. Being a photographer has some great advantages when it comes to creating a one-of-a-kind header. Lucky you!

Hi Rosi. I'm so glad sharing my experiences in setting up a blog is helping others. It took so long to figure all this out on my own that I'm hoping to cut the research time a bit for others just starting out.

This is awesome Margaret! I create my own and use my photo. I change it often too, depending on my mood 🙂

Hi Icy. I'm often tempted to grab my camera and start clicking away, but as with other forms of art, I believe coming up with some of the beautiful photos you have on your blog take know-how and years of practice. Isn't it wonderful that you can share your art in this way?
